Am I suitable for Semi Permanent Makeup?
Most people are suitable for some form of Semi-Permanent makeup. Everything starts with getting in touch with Jacqueline at Glamourink. During the initial consultation Jacqueline will explore with you precisely which treatments will suit your needs best. This is a one-to-one consultation that includes a discussion of your dreams and expectations along with any features you wish to correct or balance. From this discussion Jacqueline at Glamourink will recommend the specific treatments she believes will achieve the desired effect you want.
How long does Semi Permanent Makeup last?
Semi-Permanent Make-up can last for several years. This is however dependent on several factors including skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle. Different areas on the face fade at different rates due to natural skin exfoliation process. Whilst Semi-Permanent Make Up is ‘low maintenance’ it is not ‘no maintenance’ as the pigment partials will fade over time. Jacqueline at Glamourink recommends a colour refresher treatment every twelve to eighteen months to maintain perfect results.
Is the procedure painful?
The procedure is performed with your comfort in mind. For this reason a topical anaesthetic gel is applied prior to each treatment to minimise discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation on a pain scale of 0-10 (10 being the highest) in the range of 0-3.
Pre procedural advice
It’s not advisable to tint eyebrows, perm or curl eyelashes for around 1 week prior to treatment and around 2 weeks post treatment. If you wear contacts please bring glasses for any post eyeliner treatment as it’s not recommended to wear contacts for 24 hrs after this procedure. If you suffer with cold sores it will be advised to use some oral or topical Zovirax prior to and post any lip treatment to reduce the chance of triggering an outbreak.
How long will the procedure take?
The treatment takes around 2 hours.
